First of all, choose walls in soft tones, you can use a beige or white to keep the space bright and spacious. Seriously, if your room is small, white is your best option to make your room look bigger.
You can also incorporate curtains and rugs in shades of beige or gray to complement the neutral palette. Cushions and blankets can also bring harmony, if you are a woman you can have baby pink or coral cushions.
For an elegant touch, I recommend adding metallic details in gold or silver finishes in lamps, frames or mirrors. That will make your room more elegant and very pretty.
